Company Director

Angie Dunbavan is the founding Company Director of Red Chair, an independent Queensland performing arts company based on Kabi Kabi Country on the Sunshine Coast.

With a background in community development and social work, Angie has spent over 24 years building Red Chair into a leading producing and touring company for Queensland’s independent arts sector. Her producing credits span regional touring, community-engaged live art, festival production and arts management, including the COMPASS Project, The Keeper Project, The Playlist, Flamenco Fire, The People’s Orchestra, Dawn Awakening and Storyplace. She has produced work for QPAC, Brisbane Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Horizon Festival and numerous regional Queensland venues and councils.

Angie is a passionate advocate for sustainable independent artistic careers and for the genuine inclusion of First Nations voices in the creative sector. She has maintained a long and deep collaborative relationship with Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi traditional custodians, embedding cultural knowledge and protocol into all of Red Chair’s work.

Production Manager / Tour Coordinator

Philip Dunbavan is an experienced production, stage and tour manager with extensive work delivering Red Chair’s touring productions. He also brings significant experience delivering major festivals across Australia, alongside Brisbane City Council programs including Seniors Week Suburban Concerts, the Lord Mayor’s City Hall Lunchtime Concerts, Friday Night Laneways, Fete de la Musique and Seniors Christmas Parties.

With more than a decade as Production Manager and Tour Coordinator with Red Chair, Phil knows pretty much everything you could ever need to know about touring in regional and remote Queensland. His excellent working relationships with presenters and their teams, and his calm, confident, solution-focused approach, have made him one of the most sought-after tour managers in the sector.

He has the ability and experience to successfully deliver a diverse range of works in varied environments and spaces, from QPAC’s Concert Hall to a creek bed in Coolum Beach, the QANTAS Founders Museum in Longreach, and every conceivable shire hall between Brisbane and Burketown.

Partnership Investment Manager

Jasmin Coleman is Red Chair’s Partnership Investment Manager as well as an interdisciplinary artist, cultural development worker, facilitator, mentor and visual arts consultant working across Meanjin (Brisbane) and Gubbi Gubbi Country (Sunshine Coast).

Her two creative loves are supporting meaningful community art-making and creating site-specific works that respond to landscape and place.

Jasmin is a specialist in creating inclusive and accessible art experiences, with nine years at Access Arts as Visual Arts Coordinator and Workshop Facilitator, where she co-coordinated a full-time NDIS-funded visual arts program and delivered high-quality creative opportunities for diverse participants.

Alongside this, she has worked independently as a creative for more than twenty years across public art, community engagement, cultural development and exhibition projects.

As Partnership Investment Manager for Red Chair, Jasmin supports philanthropic strategy, donor engagement and fundraising development, building partnerships across the arts, business and community sectors. Her work focuses on strengthening long-term sustainability for community-engaged arts programs through relationship building, storytelling and strategic campaign development.

Marketing Manager

Beck Grace is Red Chair’s Marketing Manager and a marketing and communication design specialist with almost 20 years’ experience working across the arts and cultural sector. She has held marketing roles with organisations including Circa, arTour and QPAC, and has recently collaborated with PAC Australia, Regional Arts Services Network, Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation and Fieldworx.

Beck combines strategic thinking with hands-on creative direction, developing marketing campaigns and brand communications that connect organisations and artists with audiences. Her work spans strategy, graphic design, digital marketing, photography, film and web, with a focus on clear, audience-focused storytelling and supporting artists and organisations to build meaningful connections with their communities.

Producer

Aimee Gray is an independent artist, producer and founder of Kerbside Collective and The Keeper Assistant and Producer for Red Chair. Her producing credits include Red Chair, Horizon Festival, Bleach Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and HOTA.  Aimee creates work that relies on human engagement, ignites our curiosity and playful selves, and often invites audiences to laugh and be a part of the experience, fostering community through face-to-face experiences that encourage us to reconnect with each other and the natural world.
