Australian Army Band (Brisbane) - All Things Swing and Soul

Since its formation in 1949, the Australian Army Band-Brisbane (AAB-B) has become known throughout Queensland as one of the finest Military Bands in Australia, enjoying a wide reputation for its musical excellence and impressive military appearance.

The AAB-B Big Band is a hard swinging, exciting ensemble consisting of the traditional line up from the glorious swing era of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm, complemented with male and female vocals.

The dynamic 90 minute show will include the traditional big band sounds such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington, through to funky soul arrangements of Motown classics from The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Tammy Tyrell.
