The Planting

The Planting

From April 28, 2017 until April 30, 2017

At Woodfordia

The Planting Festival is a cultural event held in Woodfordia which also focuses on the important issue of conservation. The Planting Festival first started in 1997 where a group of volunteers came together to plant trees throughout Woodfordia. Now a three day annual event, the festival has grown over the years to include a range of workshops, performances, talks and presentations as well as tree planting.

Ceremonies and tradition are woven throughout The Planting Festival. They are touchstones we return to annually as expressions that deepen our experiences. They give us moments that make us laugh, make us gasp and make us hold our breath. This year, take in the beauty of a number of different ceremonies and activities around the festival-

The Planting Welcome: Fri, Pond 7:45pm
Mediterraneo – Tree Planting Ceremony: Sat, Pond 7:00pm
The Village Candles: Sat & Sun, Repair Café 9:00am
The Bonfire: Sun, Pond 8:00pm
