PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE ARE CELEBRATED THROUGH THE AWAKENING OF A NEW DAWN. STUMERS CREEK AT COOLUM BEACH WILL AGAIN PLAY CENTRE STAGE FOR THE HORIZON FESTIVAL FINALE – A PLACE OF GATHERING, REMEMBERING, DREAMING AND RITUAL.

The Glossy Black Cockatoo and its spirit of collective strength is honoured through music, dance and spoken word alongside stunning visual art installations and projections. Featuring Lyndon Davis and Gubbi Gubbi Dance, multi-award winning singer/songwriter Shellie Morris, vocalist Kacey Patrick, dancer Soraya Fewquandie Scott, guitarists Robbie James and Andrew Veivers, cellist Louise King, Cool Harmonies and Coolum State School choirs and projection artist James Muller.

FREE EVENT

The event will commence at 5am sharp so please arrive early to ensure you are seated no later than 4:50am. Parking on Stumers Creek Rd his quite limited so a park and ride service from Tickle Park will be available from 4.00am to 6.45am. Please remember to bring a torch and walk together in groups as it will be quite dark. 

 

Please bring a rug or beach chair to sit on and supervise children at all times. If you bring a chair, please sit to the back of the audience viewing area.  Photography is welcomed but we ask that you remain seated during the performance.

 

Coffee will be available to purchase. As we honour this special place, we ask that you take special care with disposing your rubbish thoughtfully.
